Request: Create a front end application to programmatically obtain data from accounting system and import into Microsoft outlook for e-mail distribution, to corporate office. Created an extensive DOS based,error trapping, backup software solution for local PC. Both need to be automated with very little user intervention.
Solution: Created a custom application to export data from btrieve database and to create an API outlook outgoing mail call, insert the accounting data and distribute to corporate office, with a single click of a button. Also wrote error trapping and verification routines to confirm user or program error. Created a custom backup application to backup the local PC to external media, to generate log files, to verify data integrity and notify if errors in process.

Install logistics led to traveling to 3 states in one day. Properties were upgraded successfully within time frame given.
